About Wilson Jane

Reflecting on a year since starting Wilson Jane, it is fascinating to look at the reasons behind taking the decision to branch out on my own after 25 years working across the facilities management industry.

Anybody who has ever taken a leap of faith, be to start their own business, change jobs or venture into other industries will testify to the mix of nerves, excitement, imposter syndrome and a hundred other emotions that come and go on a daily basis.

As the business celebrates its first birthday, it is a time to reflect on the reasons behind taking the plunge, the success that has followed since and the hopes for the future.

I founded Wilson Jane Consultancy out of a long-held ambition to work for myself. Driven by the desire for greater autonomy and the ability to make impactful, long-lasting decisions, I wanted the opportunity to utilise over 25 years of experience in developing innovative and practical Facilities Management (FM) models for clients across the market.

I wanted to apply my expertise to support clients in both procuring and implementing effective FM solutions and being able to do that so effectively over the past year has made the late-night stress and doubt in the months leading up to launch worth it.

So, what does the future hold? Essentially, more of the same but better. As a small, dynamic, and agile consultancy specialising in FM services, Wilson Jane is able to work closely with businesses that need strategic guidance, to bring a quarter of a century’s worth of experience and expertise to understand their specific needs and aspirations from the FM service.

That might come in the form of a business development perspective, client procurement, or refining their service models. It might even simply come from the ability to identify age-old FM issues before they become serious problems, or a understanding partner to help bounce ideas off.
